Hello, hello!
We hope you are doing very well! We have some updates for you on our trip to Senegal and fun things coming up in the spring…
We spent a wonderful 11 days in the southern part of Senegal with the team pioneering the new YWAM base in Fanda. We were able to meet with their whole team to do some training, do one on one pastoral follow-up with the family from Quebec that YWAM Dunham sent out a year ago, join in evangelism and Bible distribution in the village, visit local churches, and simply enjoy the daily rhythm of life on this YWAM base and in this awesome little village. We really saw God at work in the details and the timing of the whole trip. Some highlights were quality moments of sharing, praying and laughing with our friends as well as witnessing dozens of people hear the gospel and the scriptures in their mother tongues for the very first time. Amazing to see how God is at work in this place! We’re sure that we’ll be back there one day, God-willing. Thank you for all your help in getting there. We are beyond grateful!
On our way home, we took a little 4-day detour to Switzerland. Since YWAM Dunham is a hub for training in the french world of YWAM, we have many Swiss who come through our doors. It was so good to re-connect with many past YWAM staff and students, one very dear friend in particular, see our godson who we hadn’t seen in 6 years and see a bit more of this amazing country!
YWAM Dunham is now gearing up for the spring quarter with 3 schools about to begin: School of Digital Filmmaking, School of Acting for the Screen and the School of Photography. As you know, YWAM Dunham is also a hub for discipling artists and it’s so exciting to think of all the amazing things that will be created in partnership with the Holy Spirit in this upcoming season. On that note, EXCITING NEWS: Dan will be co-leading the photography school this year!
Prayer request and looking for help: Dan does most of his work on his computer at the moment, as does his photo school co-leader, Julie. As the school gets closer, they are both having major problems with their computers and it’s making their work (both with the school and in many other roles) very difficult. They are both at the point where they need new computers but it’s quite an investment, as you know. Please pray for them as they get ready to lead the school, that distractions and things trying to frustrate their work would fall flat. Would you also be willing to consider contributing toward this need?
Thank you for reading, praying, encouraging and supporting us. We’re so grateful! Enjoy this beautiful spring season to the fullest. May it remind you of Jesus.
